Marco Bellocchio
İtalyan yönetmen, senarist ve aktör Marco Bellocchio 1939 yılında Bobbio kentinde doğdu. Katı bir Katolik ailede büyüdü. Üniversitede Felsefe okumaya başladı ama daha sonra Roma'da ve ardından Londra'da sinema okuluna gitmeye karar verdi. İlk filmi Fists in the Pocket'ı 1965 yılında yönetti ve Antonioni, Pasolini ve Bertolucci ile birlikte İtalyan film sahnesine girdi. Belocchio'nun filmlerinin ana teması kurumların eleştirisi ve devlet, kilise, siyasi partiler ve aile içindeki güç akışıdır. Belocchio, 2011 yılında Venedik Film Festivali'nde Altın Aslan Yaşam Boyu Başarı ödülünü ve 2021 Cannes Film Festivali'nde Onursal P'alme d'Or ödülünü almıştır.
Italian film director, screenwriter and actor Marco Bellocchio was born in 1939 in Bobbio, Italy. He had a strict Catholic upbringing. He began studying Philosophy at university but later decided to go to film school in Rome and then in London. He directed his debut film Fists in the Pocket in 1965, entering the Italian film scene alongside Antonioni, Pasolini and Bertolucci. The overarching themes in Belocchio’s film are the critique of institutions and the flow of power within the state, the Church, political parties and family. He received the Golden Lion Lifetime Achievement award at the Venice Film Festival in 2011 and an Honorary P’alme d’Or at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival.
