*Eight and a Half* explores the memories and fantasies of a director who has lost interest in his new film. Guido Anselmi is a famous Italian director who, while trying to bring his highly anticipated new project to life, faces a kind of writer’s block. His new project is a science fiction film that also incorporates biographical elements. However, due to this sudden turn of events, the director has lost all interest and excitement in his art and his film. As Guido tries to focus on his work and finish it somehow, he gradually begins to lose his sense of reality, oscillating between his memories and fantasies through a series of flashbacks and dreams.
