Sisters Nora and Agnes are reunited with their charismatic father Gustav, once a famous director. Gustav offers Nora, a stage actress, a role in what he hopes will be a comeback movie. When Nora declines, she soon learns that her father has given the role to an aspiring young Hollywood starlet. Suddenly, the two sisters have to manage their complicated relationship with their father and deal with an American star who lands in the middle of complicated family dynamics.
