Doğudan Fragmanlar

1916. As the Russian occupation threatens Trabzon, Zeynep and Safiye set off westward, taking Zeynep's four-year-old son Haşim with them. However, little Haşim cannot withstand the brutal conditions of the journey and dies. Zeynep can't bear the thought of burying him in the depths of an unknown forest and they change their route in search of a suitable village cemetery. As they make their way through the snow-covered forests, the women's hopes of finding a burial place worthy of Hashim are shattered by an attack by deserters. Distraught and lost, the two women eventually find refuge in the dilapidated home of an old man in a remote mountain village. The man is a man on the verge of madness who has devoted his life to collecting and burying the corpses of abandoned old men. Their situation becomes increasingly dangerous when General Galiyev, who deserted from the Russian army to join the Bolsheviks, arrives at the house wounded. His presence brings Zeynep and Safiye face to face with the enemy they had hoped to escape.
